This larger quilt works on a twin bed. There are 12 panels of different hummingbirds. The print quality of the center panel is exceptional.
The focus fabric is “the dance of the hummingbirds” line “flying colors” by Laurel Birch for Clothworks. It was designed years ago by Laurel Birch and is no longer available.
The borders were chosen to complement the amazing jewel tones in the birds.
These are fossil fern fabrics in the colors pink mango, raspberry slush, nectarine, grass, paris sky, blue topaz, wisteria african violet, blueberry jam, blue lagoon, and royal velvet
The smaller square on the outside use a diamond on point pattern with the the same fabrics.
The border centers also include a unique batik print with a turquoise center and scattered multi design that is so cool.
The jewel like turquoise shades on the borders have a peach segment on 2 sides and a violet segment on the other 2 sides…giving a mandala like effect from a distance.
Flannel edging has a feather stitch in multicolor. back and edge are soft white flannel for super snuggling
Quilted using the stitch in the ditch technique for frequent washing.
