The centers of these angels had to be carefully cut in an elliptical shape to preserve the angels. This unusual fabric was designed by PeggyToole for Kaufman. It is from the Florentine II line, “arts floral spring”.
The colors are very rich on a black background giving a tapestry effect and the printing is especially precise, gold edging throughout adds beauty. decorative stitching in the center creates loft, adding to the movement of the angel flying out of the picture.
Angels are reverse appliqued. Other fabrics used are royal”prints de soleil”by Hoffman, “serendipity” and midnight tokoyo line flannel by red rooster.
Cross stitch edging adds to the complexity of the frame.
